Is it just me or was that like the longest English winter in the history of mankind? It just feels like its been winter for about ten years . Wow... glad that I am not a daffodil! These poor flowers peek their noses from the soil every year with absolute trepidation. Its no wonder. They find a beautiful warm period and come flying through proudly displaying what can only be described as a magnificent hopeful brilliance...only to be walloped by the predictably unpredictable weather, which can include plummeting temperatures gale force winds and pounding rain. Pretty stressful actually. Its no wonder they last such a short time. Wow...glad I am not a daffodil! (Friday, 1 April 2011)
