This summer my wife and I were determined to try to get some time away with our children. That is not always easy as a freelance cameraman because its very hard to say no when you are offered work. Plus it always seems that you get offered the juiciest camera job at that exact time you have planned to go away!! We were away for 7 days and 6 nights. I learned a long time ago that 2 or 3 nights camping is way more effort than its worth...by the time you have loaded the car driven to the campsite got your new home set up etc etc, its 1 or 2 barbecues and you are packing it all up again!! If you are going to camp then GO FOR IT!!! More is more!! We actually had a GREAT holiday and great weather which will hopefully be a special memory for all of us.
